GitHub is retiring a signature type, not your key

GitHub announced on 22 September that it is removing the ssh-rsa signature type and requiring larger RSA keys. Most people reading that will do the wrong work: generating new keys fixes nothing, and the thing that actually breaks is a machine somebody set up before November 2021 and never touched again.

Unconfigured stops meaning off on October 22

GitHub added a dropdown to Copilot admin settings on Thursday that does nothing for 28 days. On October 22 it decides whether every Copilot feature nobody at your company ever ruled on is switched on, and GitHub's own documentation says the dropdown already sits on enabled.

Skill Recorder and the process nobody wrote down

Power Automate charges $150 a month per bot to run an unattended desktop automation, and that price does not include the person who has to author the flow. Microsoft just put a recorder on GitHub under an MIT license that watches somebody do the job once and writes the procedure itself. The catch is which agent it writes it for.
